Hi! My name is Lacey Russo and I am a certified pediatric sleep consultant through the Family Sleep Institute. I have always been a great sleeper. It just seemed to come naturally to me ever since I was a baby. I have never had trouble sleeping or staying asleep, and I took alllll that for granted. When I became a mom for the first time, I worked effortlessly reading books, blogs and taking any advice I could get my hands on in order to get sleep again. I stumbled my way through somehow, but it wasn’t until my second child was born, when things really began to feel overwhelming. I was tired, and grumpy and deflated. I lost my confidence in myself and as a mother. Finally, about 2 months after my second child was born, I got a night of sleeping 4 hours in a row. It was a game changer for me. I had bounce in my step and felt like the old gal I once knew! I quickly realized from that point, that sleep deprivation was keeping me from being my full self. I began doing research and learning more and more about the importance of sleep, not only for parents, but especially for children. I was noticing that lots of the conversations that I had with other moms naturally revolved around sleep and sleep advice. I learned that many families thought it was just a way of life; to not sleep once kids were born. I was convinced there was a better way, and there is!
I help all families from 4 months to 4 years old. The majority of my work has been with families of multiples and helping get everyone on track and in sync. Sleep habits are taught, like any good habits, and that’s my primary focus: to eliminate sleep associations that are prohibiting consolidated sleep, and institute positive habits that will carry your littles over the years and transitions to come. I find this career so rewarding and enjoyable, which is why I only take on a small number of families a year. Each success story is a personal one for me, and I am committed to yours from the very beginning. It is possible to sleep again.
